You have entered the domain of Archedigm, Inc., an educational corporation, conceived of and founded by Linda Keiser Mardis and Arthur Lowell Mardis, incorporated in 1986 in the State of Maryland, USA.

Archedigm is a concept created to express a vision of realities beyond our immediate apprehension, to inspire a mission enabling us and others to partially comprehend them, and to encompass ways to manifest both. With the logo above, it is our registered trademark and corporate name.

We were led to create the term, archedigm, from two Greek words: arche—meaning primal, elemental, and authority; and deigma—meaning example and pattern. After lengthy contemplation, we have come to understand that archedigm encompasses a concept of universal, elemental patterns which contain the energy and information necessary for the continuous creation of life.

The mission of Archedigm, Inc., is to encourage persons to explore dimensions of consciousness where these patterns seem most apparent and to support persons as they claim revitalized connections with universal wisdom resulting from these explorations.

To fulfill our mission through Archedigm, Inc., we offer training programs, educational services, seminars, consultations, mentoring, printed materials, and other resources, including this website, which are resonant with our essential concepts.

Linda Keiser Mardis. I am a Master in The Usui System of Reiki Healing, teaching the system since 1982 and having a private practice since 1979; a facilitator/trainer in The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music, teaching the method and maintaining a private practice since 1979; an intuitive consultant; an author; a musician; a minister, ordained in a non-main-line church; a recorded music program designer; and a cofounder of Archedigm, Inc.

I am a graduate of Mount Holyoke College, Yale University, and The Institute for Consciousness and Music. I have taken postgraduate academic training in counseling, foreign languages, and hymnology. I experienced a long-term mentorship in the Western Mystic Tradition with the late Frédéric Lionel, a renowned European philosopher. I have had, and continue to pursue, experiential and didactic training in many complementary healing modalities, creative arts methods, musical skills, and intuitive development.

I am a thirty year survivor of breast cancer and of a near-death experience during treatment. These experiences heighten my enthusiasm for life and for my activities as a wife, a mother, a cook and baker, a traveler, a reader, and a collector of antique china and glass.

I am passionate about the two methods that I practice and teach, and the philosophical paradigm that guides my life. The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music enabled me to uncover layers of myself that I had skillfully hidden for many years. The Usui System of Reiki Healing provided me with both an internal and external framework which allowed me to focus and integrate those uncovered energies into a more meaningful life of service. The tenets of the Western Mystic Tradition opened me to the accessibility of the wisdom of the universe and the necessity of daily right action.

I am a teacher. The art and privilege of handing down revered traditions, passing them along to the next generation of seekers, playing some role in awakening their deepest inner knowledge which lies dormant, is the greatest joy of my life.

Arthur Lowell Mardis. I am a clergyman, theologian, counselor, consultant, writer, speaker, and publisher. I am an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. I am a graduate of The Colorado College and The Chicago Theological Seminary. I have pursued postgraduate study at Pendle Hill, Hartford Theological Seminary and was a student of the late Frédéric Lionel, a master in the Western Mystical Tradition. I have had training in organizational development and experiential education. I continue to attend conferences and seminars seeking new insights and perspectives for working and living.

As I retired from the parish ministry, I was introduced to The Usui System of Reiki Healing. In exploring this system, I came to understand healing from a nontraditional theological perspective. I also began an ongoing exploration of quantum physics, astrology and cosmology, subtle energies, and the emerging field of energy medicine.

I am a Master in The Usui System of Reiki Healing. I have been teaching its traditions, forms, and disciplines since 1994 and I have been practicing them since 1984. I conduct classes and individual hands-on healing sessions in this system.

I am a cofounder of Archedigm, Inc., where I manage the finances, the publications, the development of many printed materials, and perform other tasks which require attention in the life of a corporation.

I am a gardener, a traveler, and a woodworking hobbyist. I have been a soldier, logger, and builder of fine homes and commercial buildings.

I am a seeker. I seek to meet the ongoing challenge to be creative, to find ways of serving with integrity, to maintain the flow of resources necessary for continued service, and to find ways of being inwardly nourished.
